With more than 20 years of experience in the sports industry and media, Hernan Donnari was the former Executive Vice-President of FOX Sports Latin America, and took the leadership in the acquisition process and management for the local rights of The Argentine Football Super-League (SAF), as well as launching FOX Sports Premium. Previously to this, he took an executive position in companies such as FOX International Channels, Artear and The Clarin Group. He has an Electronic Engineering degree and a MBA from Torcuato Di Tella University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Co-founder and President
David Belmar has extensive experience in terms of sports business and communication media. He has held the position of CEO in the Chilean media group Canal 13 (reaching #1 in market sharing during his management in 2010 throughout 2014). He is a former COO of Television Nacional de Chile (TVN). He has a PADE IESE from Navarra University Business School and a degree in Public Administration from Universidad de Chile.
VP of Finance & Corporate Operations
With more than 10 years in the financial industry, Ignacio Spencer is a former COO of Itau Corpbanca New York Branch and later took the position of Specialized Operations Assistant Manager at Itau Chile. During the time holding both positions, he was responsible for more than $2bn in active assets and more than 200,000 annual transactions. He has a degree in Industrial Electric Engineering from Universidad Catolica of Chile, with an MSc in Management Science and Engineering from Columbia University of New York.
VP of Business Development & Strategy
Rodrigo Duval has a +8 years career in Sports business and media, focusing on audio visual rights, strategic programing and marketing acquisition. He has international experience working in the content acquisition department at FOX Sports Latin America, including contract negotiations and relations with more than 45 holders worldwide. He has a degree in Civil Industrial Engineering from Universidad Catolica of Chile.
Country Manager Brasil
With more than 20 years of experience in the sports and telecommunications industry, Leonardo worked as a Director of Ceremonies at The Olympic Games in Rio 2016, leading the production of the opening and closing ceremonies for the Olympics, as well as being responsible for the Olympic Torch Tour in Brazil. He previously worked as a Director of Memberships for FOX Channel Brazil. He has an MBA from Universidad Federal do Rio de Janeiro and currently works as a Business Manager.
Head of Marketing
Paula Piña has more than 20 years leading the Marketing and Communications departments of several different international companies that work with technology and luxury brands. Her career has focused on supporting government institutions and organizations to design innovative strategies in order to promote products and services inside international markets, develop actions for branding placement and relations, as well as strategic alliances, with a main focus on collaborative models.
Broadcast Operations Head
Luis Santos is a media executive with a wide range of international exposure and progressive leading growth inside worldwide commercial environments, who has more than 25 years of professional experience in Engineering and Operations, work flow production for in-site sports events and international entertainment, as well as deep knowledge in content market and with a focused mentality for results and adaptability to change.
Country Manager Chile and VP Advertising & Sponsorship Sales
Fernando Gualda has more than 20 years of experience in the Entertainment Industry, Pay TV Channels, Broadcast Channels, Telecommunications and Digital Media. He was Director of Sales & Marketing of VTR Chile’s main pay TV operator, being SVP and General Manager of the Southern Cone at FOX International Channels Latinoamerica developed FOX Sports Chile. As an entrepreneur was representative of ESPN Channels for Chile in advertising sale, he was VP & Head of Distribution of Blue Ant Media for Latin America, is a co-founder and was general manager of the broadcast TV+ (formerly UCV TV) and launched the sports project “Digital Classifieds to the World Cup of Qatar 2022”.
Fernando is a M.S. Equivalent, Civil Engineer at the University of Santiago & MBA at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
Head of Rugby
Michael Black is an executive and entrepreneur in the international sports industry, with more than 25 years of experience in Latin America, USA, Europe, Asia and Oceania. He has great deal of expertise in M&As, finances, marketing, commerce and event management in the sports industry. His working experiences include The Cola-Cola Company, FIFA and Octagon. He is part of many different boards and works as a consultant in many international companies, as well as a collaborator and permanent columnist in press media. He is also a Sports Marketing Professor at Universidad del Desarrollo of Chile.
Head of Advertising Sales
José Nóbrega is an entrepreneur and professional with more than 18 years of experience in marketing board chairs and sports sponsorship, as well as representing and managing sports talents, sales and communication media. He has led commercial teams in different countries and industries, such as: sports, aquaculture, real state and technology.
Global Sponsorship Executive
Ricardo Cavada has more than 10 years of experience in the media and sports industry as Executive Commercial Partnerships for FOX Sports Latin America, and he is responsible for agreements with sponsors and direct clients for different assets of the commercial portfolio of FOX Sports. He previously worked as a Trans-regional Head Manager for Ads and Sales (TV & Digital) at A+E Networks Latin America. He graduated from Florida International University (Bachelor of Business Administration and Management & International Business).
Javier Gasman is a lawyer with more than 10 years of experience in the sports industry, entertainment industry and sales of commercial and broadcasting rights. He has worked at the ANFP and was an attorney for Universidad Catolica de Chile Football Club for more than 7 years. He has been with 1190 Sports as Head of Legal since 2017, working in the sales of commercial rights for the Chilean National Football Team, as well as developing a protection program against ambush marketing in order to keep the safety of La Roja’s rights as a brand.
Mariano Elizondo is a National Public Accountant, graduated from the Faculty of Economic Science at Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has a Master’s degree in Administration of Financial Assets (ESEADE). He has been leading projects in the entertainment industry for 20 years. During the year 2017, he was elected President of the Argentine Football Super-League, leaving his post at the beginning of 2020. In the year 2019 he received an award for his exemplary trajectory, awarded by the Faculty of Economic Science at Universidad de Buenos Aires. He is currently the Head of Certification in Management of Football Entities at Universidad Austral of Chile.
Michael Boys is a professional with 20 years of experience in communication media, rights management and sports events. He is currently leading 1190 Sports in projects related to events and commercial rights, as well as relations with institutions, brands and broadcasters. He has been the leading hand in sporting events in 12 countries and has been in charge of cities hosting FIFA’s World Cup; Brazil during 2014 and Russia during 2018, among others. He has previously held executive positions at Television Nacional de Chile, the Chilean Football League, Trek Bicycles and New Balance, among others.
Guadalupe Lucero has more than 20 years of experience in communications. She initiated businesses, strengthen corporative reputation, implemented cultural transformations and changes in processes while working as a consultant in several companies. She led the Communications and P.R. Department at FOX Latin America for more than 14 years, being responsible for the reputation and communication management of over +35 brands that were part of FOX’s portfolio. She is also a contact point for international media, research and production, generating a distribution boost for fictional shows of worldwide success, original productions, documentaries and sports all over Latin America.
Eduardo Pérez is the founder of Latin American Trade Co., which is based in the Chinese Province of Hainan. He has more than 15 years of experience developing relation models with the Chinese media. He is a teacher of Mandarin at Universidad Tecnologica Nacional, and has a post-graduate degree on Contemporary China Studies. He worked as a consultant at the System of Federal Media, carrying out a variety of projects along with very important companies working on technology and media in China. He previously worked at Cablevision for the Clarin Group.
