1190 SPORTS ANNOUNCES NEW DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENTS AND THE BRASILEIRÃO CONTINUES TO GROW IN ASIA, AFRICA AND EUROPE AND LANDS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TURKEY

With distribution in more than 150 territories, a potential global audience that exceeds 650 MM households and a presence in strategic markets, the main Brazilian soccer championship continues to expand its visibility around the world.

Buenos Aires, 25th of October 2022. 1190 Sports, a global company dedicated to the management and commercialization of sports broadcasting, image and distribution rights, announced today the signing of new distribution agreements for the Brasileirão Serie A, that expand the presence of the main Brazilian soccer championship to new markets, extend the duration of existing agreements and incorporate new takers territories where the tournament already has presence.

Thus, Series A of the Brasileirão arrives for the first time in Turkey, thanks to the distribution agreement between 1190 Sports and D-Smart, one of the two largest operators in the country with +200 channels and its own streaming platform.

Starting this month, fans in Turkey can already watch live -in Turkish and English- all the Series A matches in addition to enjoy weekly shows and highlights.

Likewise, 1190 Sports extended its alliance with Channel 11, the Portuguese Football Federation subscription channel that after three consecutive seasons expands its offer, with more than 117 additional live Series A matches in Portuguese.

Additionally, and with the aim of continuing to strengthen coverage in Africa, another agreement was confirmed between 1190 Sports and HAC Media, through which StarTimes, the continent’s main digital TV operator – whose reach exceeds 10 million subscribers – will have a total of 228 Series A matches, live for the following seasons.

A multidisciplinary team of almost 100 people including technicians, producers, reporters, commentators, editors and other professionals, has already generated more than 2,400 hours of live content, in addition to magazine shows and special content such as highlights, rising stars and goals that attract new subscribers making this championship a unique experience for the most demanding football fans in the world.
