AFD will combine the know-how of both companies to boost the distribution and commercialization of the international broadcasting rights for Free to Air TV, Pay TV, PPV and digital platforms of the Professional Football League (LPF); and to expand its reach and exposure abroad during the next six seasons, starting in 2021.

Buenos Aires, December 28th, 2020. Torneos -a leading company in the sports and entertainment industry-, Global Sports Rights Management (GSRM) -an international company specialized in the optimization and commercial management of sports properties- and 777 Partners -an American private investment company- announced the creation of AFD (Argentina Football Distribution), a new company that will manage the exclusive commercialization of multiplatform broadcasting rights of the Argentine Professional de Football League (LPF) in the international market.
AFD combines Torneos’ high production standards and its wide network for the international commercialization of Argentine football (syndication), GSRM’s know-how in technological innovation to develop and offer worldwide a unique digital destination that brings together all Argentine football as well as its commercial management capacity (sponsorship), and the financial support of 777 Partners.

With an associative and innovative business model, which has already been successfully implemented by several leagues worldwide, AFD’s management will be focused on enhancing the assets of the Professional Football League (LPF) to generate new opportunities and increase the international exposure of the Argentine championship. Both companies’ synergy will make possible to promote the Argentine football as a country brand, and as an ambassador and vehicle for exporting local culture globally, amplifying its presence even more.
In this sense, the OTT AFA Play www.afaplay.com will be even more relevant since it will broadcast the matches of the Professional Football League in those countries and regions where they cannot be seen on TV, and will offer new content to enjoy the full Argentine football experience, all on the same platform.

This alliance is a great step to amplify audiences in strategic markets where Argentine soccer has not landed yet, through a new mixed commercialization scheme that combines open TV, pay TV and streaming via the official OTT AFA Play, a unique digital destination with global reach that will boost the Argentine soccer brand around the world.
